About Shoumik Manthana

Shoumik's journey in music began at the age of five, when he started learning Tabla from

Sri Arshad Syed initially and later from Sri Satish Tare in the classical Farukhabad Gharana. He is  proud to have completed Visharad Pratham certification in tabla from the prestigious Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal (ABGMVM). At the age of five, Shoumik also began exploring the world of Carnatic music (vocal), deepening his connection to Indian classical music. Now a high school student, he had the privilege of performing and accompanying tabla at various events across the Bay Area, including offering music at weekly Sai spiritual gatherings.He is passionate about sharing the beauty of music through private and group lessons in both tabla and Carnatic music. Shoumik believes that music is a universal language that brings people together, transcending cultural and social boundaries. With a strong commitment to giving back, he donates all proceeds from the classes to charitable organizations and community service initiatives. Shoumik's mission is not only to teach music but also to use it as a means of making a positive impact on society.
